Cash on Delivery (COD) – Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Cash on Delivery (COD) Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all COD purchases made from Toshika Natural – Cold-Pressed Oils. By placing a COD order, the customer acknowledges, understands, and agrees to be legally bound by these Terms.

2. Additional Delivery & COD Charges

All COD orders are subject to additional delivery and COD handling charges, which vary by location and courier partner rates. These charges will be communicated to the customer prior to order confirmation.

3. Mandatory Security Deposit for COD Orders

Due to past occurrences of customers refusing COD shipments—resulting in double transportation and operational losses—Toshika Natural – Cold-Pressed Oils requires a refundable security deposit for all COD orders.

Security Deposit Policy

Customers must pay an amount equivalent to 2× (two times) the total delivery + COD charges before shipment.

This amount serves as a security deposit to ensure acceptance of the order at the time of delivery.

Shipment processing and dispatch will begin only after successful receipt of this security deposit.

4. Security Deposit Adjustment Process

Example Calculation:

Product price: ₹1000

COD charge: ₹100

Required security deposit before dispatch: ₹100 × 2 = ₹200

At the time of delivery:

Amount payable on delivery: ₹1000 - ₹100 = ₹900

(₹100 from the security deposit is adjusted against the product price; the remaining ₹100 remains as security until delivery completion.)

5. Refund / Forfeiture of Security Deposit

Successful Delivery:

Upon acceptance of the parcel, 50% of the security deposit (one part) is adjusted in the final payable amount.

The remaining amount will be used as your Delivery + COD charges.

Refusal, Non-Acceptance, or Delivery Failure Caused by Customer:

If the customer refuses the parcel, provides an incorrect address, fails to receive the package, or causes a return for any reason attributable to the customer, the entire security deposit will be forfeited.

This forfeiture compensates for double delivery charges, handling expenses, and administrative cost incurred by Toshika Natural – Cold-Pressed Oils.

6. Dispatch & Order Processing

COD orders will only be dispatched after the security deposit payment is verified.

Delay in deposit payment may result in shipping delays or cancellation of the COD order.

7. Policy Acceptance

By choosing the COD payment option, the customer hereby:

Confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

Authorizes Toshika Natural – Cold-Pressed Oils to adjust or forfeit the security deposit in accordance with this policy.

Acknowledges that these Terms are legally enforceable and part of the sale contract.

8. Amendments

Toshika Natural – Cold-Pressed Oils reserves the right to modify, update, or revise these Terms at any time without prior notice. All changes will apply to orders placed after the date of modification.
